Dr. Richard F. Marinello, DDS

Dr. Marinello received his dental degree at the University of Illinois in 1971. He then completed his periodontics training at Boston University School of Graduate Dentistry. After graduation, he served in the United States Navy as a periodontist.

Dr. Marinello has made a life-long commitment to fostering the education of others. While serving in the Navy, he developed a periodontal mini-residency program for general dentists. He was a Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Illinois and Michael Reese Hospital. He has also lectured throughout the country and is the Founder and Director of Chicago’s PDL Study Club, a Seattle Study Club organization.

Dr. Marinello is a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology and a Fellow of the Odontographic Society of Chicago. Because of his clinical expertise, he was selected as a Delegate to the 1989 World Workshop of Periodontics, Implant Division.

He maintains membership in several professional groups, including the Institute of Medicine of the National Academies, American Academy of Periodontology, Midwest Society of Periodontology, American Dental Association, and Chicago Dental Society.
